Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about QR codes? We have answers. Everything you need to know about generating, scanning, and managing your QR codes.

A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that can store various types of data, such as website URLs, plain text, or contact information. When scanned using a smartphone camera or a QR reader app, the device instantly decodes the information and prompts the user to take action, like visiting a website or saving a contact.
Yes! All static QR codes generated through our platform are 100% free. There are no hidden fees, no watermarks, and no scan limits. You can generate as many QR codes as you need for both personal and commercial use without paying a single cent.
No, static QR codes never expire. Because the data is encoded directly into the pattern of the QR code itself, it will remain functional indefinitely. However, you must ensure that the content it points to (like your website URL) remains active and accessible.
Adding a logo to your QR code significantly increases brand recognition and user trust. When people see a familiar logo in the center of the code, they are much more likely to scan it, knowing it belongs to a verified source. Our generator ensures that adding a logo does not compromise the code's scannability.
If you plan to print your QR code on large materials like banners, posters, or billboards, we highly recommend downloading the SVG or PDF format. These are vector formats that can be scaled infinitely without losing quality. For digital use or small prints like business cards, high-resolution PNG is perfect.
Static QR codes encode data directly into the image and cannot be changed after creation. Dynamic QR codes use a short redirect URL, allowing you to update the destination at any time without reprinting the code. Dynamic codes also offer scan tracking and analytics. Our generator currently creates static QR codes, with dynamic support coming soon.
Absolutely! Our generator offers extensive customization options. You can change the foreground and background colors, apply gradient fills, choose from dozens of body patterns and eye frame styles, and even add rounded corners. All customizations are designed to maintain full scannability while giving your QR code a unique, branded look.
Yes. Our generator uses built-in error correction technology (up to Level H, which allows up to 30% of the code to be obscured). This means your QR code will remain fully scannable even with a logo overlay, custom colors, or modified shapes. We always recommend testing your code on multiple devices before printing.
Our platform supports over 16 content types including: Website URL, Plain Text, Email Address, Phone Number, SMS Message, WiFi Network Credentials, vCard (Contact Info), MeCard, Location/Coordinates, Event Calendar Entry, PayPal Payment Link, Bitcoin/Crypto Address, App Store Link, and more. Each type is optimized for the best scanning experience.
For standard scanning distance (about 20-30 cm), the minimum recommended size is 2 x 2 cm (0.8 x 0.8 inches). For longer scanning distances, increase the size proportionally. A good rule of thumb: scanning distance (in cm) รท 10 = minimum QR code size (in cm). Always leave a quiet zone (white border) of at least 4 modules around the code.
QR codes themselves are simply data containers and cannot execute code or install malware. However, a malicious QR code could direct you to a phishing website or harmful URL. Always verify the destination before entering personal information. Our platform only generates legitimate QR codes, and we recommend using reputable generators to ensure safety.
Yes! All QR codes generated on our platform can be used freely for both personal and commercial purposes. There are no licensing fees or attribution requirements. You can use them on business cards, product packaging, marketing materials, restaurant menus, event tickets, and more.
